When the Yoder family asked me to do their photos in 2020 our plan was to take photos at the campground their family has been camping at for years. Unfortunately, or fortunately, a big storm came through and we had to cancel until the following year.
This time around they asked if I’d be willing to drive to the beach – an easy yes for me, try keeping me away from the water! When we got there they told me how long they’d been coming to this beach in particular and I knew we were going to have a wonderful family session together. Along with their dogs, we trekked out to the beach, and they piled close for hugs, photos, and puppy snuggles.
The small moments between each of them was my favorite part of this session. Being able to find a place where families relax into themselves can be challenging, so I love that they knew right where to head, to be themselves.
