This was easily the most relaxed wedding to photograph. Weddings can be tricky; I always want to make sure the family feels connected, that Iām not hovering and getting in their face, but still want to capture every moment. Itās a challenging, rewarding balance and I love it.
H + K were so fun, so content. Watching them it was easy to see how much they simply loved being in each otherās company. H told me they had a simple backyard ceremony planned in her Auntās garden. I arrived and it was gorgeous. Hās son was a part of the ceremony and walked down the isle with her.
I love couples who want to skirt tradition and have a day that reflects who they are, whether thatās hiking deep into their favorite trailhead, standing on the lakeshore, or celebrating friendship and love in the backyard where they grew up. This is what love means – finding someone to be yourself with, in every moment.
